IBM Thailand is aggressively introducing new technologies and a wide range of business solutions to companies of all sizes to boost its leadership in the server market from its share of 38 per cent last year. "With the impact from the current economy, many enterprises need the powerful tools to help them overcome various challenges including the need to reduce cost and enhance operating efficiency," Tanapong Ittisakulchai, country manager for systems and technology at IBM Thailand, said yesterday.
The move is supported by an array of local business partners nationwide, which are ready to help enhance clients' confidence to migrate to and use IBM's technologies to reduce cost, improve operations and ultimately achieve their business objectives.
"With this requirement in place, we strongly believe that IT could be the right vehicle to help them achieve their business requirements and also strengthen their competitiveness," he said.
"With the new technologies introduced today, the strong support from our business partners across the country plus a wide range of business solutions to choose from, we are confident that this would help make Power Systems the platform of choice for many businesses." he added.
The IDC Asia/Pacific Quarterly Enterprise Server Tracker confirmed IBM Thailand's No-1 ranking in the server market for the five years since 2004.
